I did get a laugh out of this, but the reality was there. A situation like this where a man evades police instead of being arrested for DUI happens quite commonly in Florida. The bad news for those that find themselves in this situation is that once they are caught they not only face a driving under the influence charge, but a resisting arrest charge as well.

The man had been arrested 26 times since 1999 on charges including grand theft, burglary, fleeing to elude arrest, trespassing, drug possession, possession of a concealed handcuff key, escaping from a juvenile facility, resisting arrest and failure to appear in court, according to records from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
His most recent arrest was in January on warrants for grand theft, resisting arrest and trespassing, records show.
Some of you may think, “Good another criminal off the road”, but I say it is sad this man died running from a DUI charge. However, I hope this is a lesson to a young man somewhere.

He almost got away with it! Without the admittance of his guilt the officer would have had no cause to arrest him. She said herself she had never seen someone do that before. Honestly, I can’t even sing the alphabet backwards at my best, but lesson learned here is if you have been drinking it is not good idea to tell a police officer from a legal standpoint. You would be better off politely refusing the sobriety testing and calling a DUI lawyer in your area.
