CLEARWATER, Fla. – Dane Sardinha, a Philadelphia Phillies non-roster invitee, was arrested by Clearwater Police on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence early Monday morning, police records show.

Sardinha, 31, was booked just before 2 a.m. Monday morning, and was releasted just after 8 a.m. after posting a $250 bond, according the Pinellas County Sherriff’s arrest log.

A Phillies spokesman said the team was aware of the situation, but declined to comment further.

This being Dane’s first FL DUI arrest (with no child in the car and without a BAC of higher then .15), a conviction would result in no less than $500, or more than $1,000 in fines and a minimum 180 days , maximum 1 year license revocation.
